Meet Mr. Buttons!

 Buttons  is a real sweet guy, low key and very affectionate. Almost ten years old he was rescued as a pup by a well-known trainer in San Diego.  She trained him as a service dog and he did a great job for many years.  Recently his owner died and Buttons was returned to his trainer -- who also was terminally ill.  She was concerned that Buttons not end up in a kennel somewhere so we took him.  He's a real doll who enjoys playing with his foster family's younger dogs.  He's neutered and current on his shots.  The vet said said Buttons is in good shape and although his has a bit of arthritis, his rear legs and hips seemed fine.  Buttons weighs in at 86.5, and is almost 29 inches at the shoulder.

Right now what Buttons needs is a good and loving forever home in which to live out his final days.  He still has a lot of energy and a lot of love to give.  Buttons would be perfect for an active older family who no longer wants the exuberance and extra work of a puppy, but wants a loving companion to accompany them on their daily rounds.
